Wicomico Career and Technical Education
CTE programs in Wicomico help high school students explore careers and gain real-world skills. These programs combine classroom learning with hands-on training to prepare students for college, work, or both. Students can take classes in fields like health care, computer science, skilled trades, business, and cosmetology. Most programs offer the chance to earn industry-recognized certifications that employers value.
Some CTE students take part in apprenticeships or internships, where they learn on the job while still in high school. Others can earn college credit through dual enrollment. Programs are designed to match local job needs and give students a head start in their career path. Whether a student plans to go straight to work, attend college, or enter a training program, CTE helps them build a strong foundation for the future.
Our county offers CTE during the regular school day, and through special options like Twilight CTE in the evening. All programs support student success and are open to students from all Wicomico high schools.
