This morning two CTE students were recognized for outstanding achievements in their CTE programs. Andrew Hill, 12th grader at Parkside, was nominated by his High-Performance Manufacturing instructor, Mr. Jenkins. Leah Rodriguez-Garcia, 12th grader at Wi Hi, was nominated by her Criminal Justice instructor, Mr. Kaiser. Both students received a monetary award and will have their names engraved on a plaque that will hang in the CTE office.
We are extremely proud of Andrew and Leah!

News from Wicomico County Public Schools:
The first Superintendent's Open Door Session of the 2025-2026 school year will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29. Time with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer is on a first-come, first-served basis, at the school system's main office at 2424 Northgate Drive, Salisbury.
Reminders: The 1st marking term will end Thursday, Oct. 30. On Friday, Oct. 31, schools have a professional day for staff, and students do not attend.

Parkside CTE Cisco Networking Academy students competed today in Round 1 of the CyberPatriot competition. Students competed against other high school students across the country today. Although we won't know the scores yet, these students set high standard as many were first time competitors and they did a great job. They will continue to train for the next round in November.
