Thanks to all the 10th-12th grade RAMFAM who showed up yesterday to pick up their laptop. This will continue today. Just park in the bus/car rider parking lot off Schumaker and enter the side doors to pick up your laptop. We will move the laptop pickup to the media center during Parkside Open House tonight from 5 till 7 PM.
Come out to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center before 3 p.m. today for this fantastic community back-to-school Fresh Start event. Free school supplies, community resources and food while supplies last. Wicomico Schools is proud to be a Fresh Start partner.

ONE WEEK AWAY! Saturday August 26th! The “Fresh Start: A Wicomico County Back-to-School Event” is back! The event will take place at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on Saturday August 26th from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
This is for Wicomico County students in-need from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Students will receive a Free backpack along with several essential school supplies (while supplies last as this is first come, first serve).

Over a dozen students are participating in Wicomico County Public Schools' C.R.E.W. program this summer. C.R.E.W. stands for Career Research Education and Work, and gives rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade students the opportunity to work in a paid position in the community for 6 weeks during the summer. Students also get classroom training on communication soft skills needed to be successful in the workplace.
On Wednesday, the students were visited by Lower Shore Workforce Alliance's Sherri Sigrist who spoke to the class about various job opportunities available on the Eastern Shore and how to pursue those careers.

The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.
For the July 11 Board meeting, the Board will convene at 6:30 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 7 p.m. The agenda for this meeting will be available by the Friday before the meeting on BoardDocs: https://go.boarddocs.com/mabe/wcboe/Board.nsf/Public
In accordance with the Board of Education Public Comments Protocol Policy, pre-registration for public comments is required. Public comments during the Board meeting will be limited to 20 participants. To register for public comments, please visit the pre-registration page (https://board_public_comments.wcboe.org/), which will be open starting one week prior to this Board meeting (at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 4) and will close one day before (at 7 p.m. Monday, July 10) before the Board meeting.
Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during that timeframe (on any day except July 4, when the school system is closed for the holiday) to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.
