Don't forget about tomorrow's spirit theme (will you be Medusa gray or Midas gold) and dance ticket sales start tomorrow during all 4 lunch shifts. Remember, to be eligible, you must have had a 2.0 or higher GPA from the 4th term of 23-24 school year and have no suspensions this year. This year's Parkside Homecoming is going to be the best yet!!!

Congratulations to Senior Abhi Gaddam on two fronts. One, he was
recognized as a Commended Student for his performance on the PSAT test
and is quite the honor (top left receiving his commendation today). Abhi also assisted as Maryland State Superintendent
Dr. Carey Wright was in town to visit several schools, and he was there to
introduce her and help show her around his middle school, Salisbury
Middle School. Great job, as always Abhi!
Today Area Leader, Buffy and Area Manager, Brandy, from Sport Clips talked to our Parkside CTE Cosmetology students about opportunities with their company and provided hair cutting tutelage and instruction. Thank you Buffy and Brandy for taking the time to do this! We appreciate you!
Thank you to everyone at Parkside who wore ORANGE today to show our support Tyler Walsh, his family, and his Stephen Decatur family. We may normally wear green, but when people need support and our thoughts and prayers, we're here for them as well. These were just a few of the many individuals who wore orange to show their support for Tyler. We even had our Media Center light changed to orange for today. #TylerStrong
Parkside CTE Firefighter/EMT students had a practical training day at Station 16. These students will be certified in Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, and EMT by the end of the year.

State Superintendent Dr. Carey Wright, along with Student Member of the State Board Abhiram Gaddam, had a wonderful time visiting Salisbury Middle School and West Salisbury Elementary in Wicomico County Public Schools yesterday. They engaged with students and staff, learning more about the NexGen STEM Program and the great work happening in Wicomico schools.
Parkside is extremely proud of Abhiram Gaddam, not only Student Member of the State Board, but also a senior in the Parkside High School Class of 2025! He is a great representative for the State of Maryland, Wicomico County Public Schools, and Parkside!

Do you want to show everyone your love for Parkside (or Parkside Soccer)? We have car magnets for sale. The PHS one is $5, and the Parkside Soccer one is $7 (or $10 and you can get a sticker as well). They are both available in the front office. We love seeing our PHS magnets all over Wicomico County. Yes, Mr. Briggs needs to get his car washed as well.
Parkside is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th-October 15th). Today, we talked about the contributions of Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Astronaut Ellen Ocha, and baseball legend Roberto Clemente on the morning announcements. In Mrs. Pitoniak's Art class they learned about El Salvadorian artist Fernando Llort, and are currently creating their own art like Fernando did. We here at Parkside love to celebrate the diversity of the RAMFAM and will contine to do so.
